Croatian Junior and Younger Junior Championships in finswimming and speed diving 2026

Rijeka, 14–15 November 2026 · Unofficial English translation of Croatian Diving Federation bulletin no. 119/26 (Zagreb, 21 October 2026).

This is an unofficial translation. The Croatian original prevails.

The Croatian Diving Federation (HRS), as patron, and Underwater Activities Club KPA 3. Maj, as organiser and host, organise the 34th individual Croatian Younger Junior and Junior Championship and the 31st team Croatian Junior Championship in finswimming and speed diving, Rijeka, 14 and 15 November 2026.

Rules of the competition

1. Venue

Kantrida swimming pools, Podkoludricu 2, Rijeka. The pool is 50 × 25 m, 2.25 m deep, with 10 competition lanes and electronic timing.

2. Eligibility

All members of HRS clubs may take part if, at registration, they present:

  1. the HRS membership card for 2026;
  2. the signed statement of responsibility;
  3. for speed diving (immersion) only: a diver certificate, at least CMAS one star (R1);
  4. valid test certificates for the cylinders used in immersion events;
  5. proof of payment of the entry fee;
  6. a valid medical certificate issued by an authorised sports medicine (occupational medicine) service. Under the new rules on athletes' medical examinations (Official Gazette 27/2026) the certificate is valid for at most 12 months from its date of issue.

Important: athletes whose medical examination was carried out before 26 March 2026 (that is, under the old rules, without the now mandatory minimum tests such as a 12-lead ECG and spirometry) may not compete. Athletes without a valid certificate issued after 26 March 2026 will not be admitted.

3. Entries

Entries, with each athlete's times per event, are sent by e-mail to the address given in the bulletin and on the entry form. Entry deadline: 10 November 2026.

4. Entry fee

€25 per athlete, paid by bank transfer to KPA 3. Maj, Rijeka (bank details in the bulletin).

5. Categories and scoring

Individual competition for men and women in the categories younger juniors (C) and juniors (B); team competition for men and women in the categories juniors (B) and younger juniors (C). For the team ranking, the two best athletes count in the junior category (born 2009–2010) and the two best in the younger junior category (born 2011 and younger).

Each athlete may swim at most six individual events. The number of athletes per team and per event is not limited, but only the two best athletes of each club, in each event and for each gender, score for the team championship. In the junior category the points of juniors (B) and younger juniors (C) are added together.

Scoring follows article 90 of the HRS rules: 1st place 25 points, 2nd 22, 3rd 20, 4th 18, 5th 16… and 20th place 1 point. Athletes with the same result receive the same points for that position.

6. Start

Races follow the start list based on the entries and the programme. The organiser may accept or refuse late entries without giving reasons.

7. Protests

Protests are submitted in writing to the chief judge within 30 minutes of the event in question, with a fee of €40, refunded if the protest is accepted; otherwise it goes to the host.

8. Liability

The Croatian Diving Federation and KPA 3. Maj, as organiser and host, decline all liability for damages arising from the competition. All athletes compete at their own risk, which they confirm by signing the statement of responsibility.

9. Equipment

Equipment according to the HRS rules: cylinders only with a valid test certificate and standard DIN or INT connections; maximum pressure 200 bar; minimum volume 0.4 litres for 100 m immersion and 1.0 litre for 200 m immersion.

10. Rules
